What is everyones opion on the best shrubs/bushes to plant for deer cover/browse?

honeysuckle and American beautyberry are two excellent shrubs to plant for both browse and cover and very hearty

Grey/Rough Leaf Dogwoods, wild plums, and arrowwood.

Something else to consider is talking with your state conservation department or DNR and looking at installing only plants native to your area. It's a good conservation practice.

Ive herd autumn olives work well for deer and other wildlife. My friend says he always finds pheasants, turkey, and partridge eating them. I hope they are that attractive to wildlife because Ive got about 15 started in the house right now.

I agree 100%. If you don't want to order from the DNR itself, at least respect your land enought to only plant species native to the area and avoid anything considered invasive at all costs.
