I've been taking chlorophyll supplements now for 4 years during hunting season. This year I'm doing a little experiment and I'd like to see if any of you might try this and we can compare notes.

I take two, 60 mg capsules once a day, unless it's a hunting day, and then I take another dose before I go to bed. This season, I've been not using a deodorant after I shower on non-hunting days to see if I or my wife can detect any BO on me. So far, we haven't. I do bathe everyday, although last Sunday afternoon I worked in the yard, and then didn't shower until Tuesday morning, and still no BO.

I'd like to hear about any results that any other chlorophyll uses have in this regard.

You're weird. So am I. I've been taking the Nullo chlorophyll complex, and I've taken the same test. After a week on the stuff, I went without showering for three days and could not detect any odor. Although I feel dirty (OK, no jokes please) the stuff definitely inhibits odor.

Having said that, I'm not convinced it has made a difference in hunting. Before hunting, I still shower with a scent-free liquid soap, I use scent-free deodorant, I wear freshly washed clothing, I spray down with a scent killer and I play the wind. So far I haven't seen enough deer to make a good judgment on whether chlorophyll works or not. Two came through yesterday downwind, but I don't really know if they changed course because they smelled me or not.

I'm committed to using the stuff all the way through the rifle season. I figure it can't hurt, and one of these days I might be able to report that it helps.

Thanks for starting this thread. I hope we get more replies.

Steve

EDH: I'm not saying that if these seem to work that you don't have to do anything else...FAR FROM IT! It's just another tool in the box, and I still use a scent-free deodorant on hunting days.  I just wanted to know if other weirdos had the same results from it.

And Rapid Edward.....mine are from World Organic, and they say to take one or two capsules (60 mg each) daily.

I'm not saying that either. I'm only saying that so far I see no evidence that I'm better off taking chlorophyll than not taking chlorophyll. I know there is no magic pill.

I have not tested and I would not test relying on a pill without any other scent-control measures.

I haven't tried the no deodorant deal yet. I use the unscented Mitchum roll on with good results. Taking chlorophyll makes a big difference in my hunting success over not taking it.  Back in the 80's I used to take Tink's tabs sold by Tink Nathan before he sold the company.  They worked great and helped me tag out with a bow a few years.

Another of the reasons I like chlorophyll is that I can poot in a crowd and get away with it undetected....

Just kidding about the monthly showers . Sheesh ! I thought that is was odd about a warning to only use one 60 mg tablet . My nose works pretty good and I don't notice any B.O. smell . I am guessing that the Chlorophyll must kill off or cancell out the bad bacteria that causes body odor . No complaints from anyone , yet !

One thing to note, I do chew Gum-O-Flage, and if I'm not mistaken, I think that has chlorophyll in it as well and has worked wonderfully.  After chewing on it for a few minutes, it doesn't matter what I previously ate, I can't taste it.  I do believe in the power of chlorophyll, but just don't take the tablets.

You turn green, and then in the fall with less daylight and cooler temps, chances are you'll turn yellow or red and start dropping appendages.

I don't have any problems other than visual.....certain things are NOT supposed to be green!

I'm taking the GNC ones. I know they aren't doing anything on the gas front but they are up against a 6 pack of Hamms Light a night so I'm not sure it's a fair fight.

I take the GNC ones also.  Turns your poop green, other than that, no side effects.  I have noticed my gas doesn't smell anymore, at least to me.  I still get BO if I don't shower regularily though.  Maybe because I don't take as high of a dosage, just one pill a day.

Spent the weekend at deer camp so that would be a solid 2 days without a shower and no BO. No green poo either, however my gas, well, still as potent as ever.
