i know how you feel! i dont have 700-800 dollars to drop on a new bow! but if i did have it i would go out and buy the new carbon matrix by hoyt! it looks pretty awesome and it seems to me to be a pretty good bow! but since i dont have the money i might go with a bear bow cause i can get a decent bow for 300-400 dollars! still a chunk of change but i think it might be worth it! but a hoyt bow is what i really want! i love them!

I shoot a Bear Super Kodiak, and at $595.00, it's as close to a custom made recurve at half the price.

I just went to Cabela's last week and shot a PSE Bow Madness. I WAS AMAZED!!!!! I think it only runs for like $500. It was amazingly lightweight and had no hand shock. I'm saving my pennies!!

the new carbon matrix is a bow that i would like to shoot! and see how it feels! it has a hollow riser so im guessing it is probably pretty light and cant wait for it to come out so i can shoot it! but im sure it is a pretty penny and not having a job isnt going to get me any closer to getting it! but if i can get enough money for it im all for it!

I did not vote for any of those . I own a hoyt v tech now but only because we do not have a local High Country dealer . I plan on driving how ever far I have to before next season to get another High Country bow.

I didn't vote for any either. It depends on what you want from a bow. Speed? Forgiveness? Lightweight? Short or long ATA? Single cam, or two cam? I'm not sure what you are expecting from a bow, so I'm not sure what to recommend.

Also, I wouldn't rule out a used bow. A lot of guys just HAVE to HAVE the latest and greatest, so they buy a new bow every couple of years. So, there are some quality used bows out there for cheap, often with little wear and tear on them.

No vote here either . I have a Parker phoenix EZ Draw and a Pearson TX-4 . At 68 yerars old , I don't think I need to spend $900 for another bow .

Hey I'm that guy!
Bought a new Reezen, didnt care for it and bought and new Monster this year and got rid of my switchback. (only cause i work at a mathews dealer and get great discounts)

DD is 100% correct, find yourself a high end bow that is a couple years old and you'll be set for many years to come. I personally would recommend the switchback, Probably my favorite mathews ever. Kinda wish i hadnt gotten rid of mine.

My first bow is a Hoyt UltraSport I picked up used and I couldn't be happier with it! This bow is 5 years old and shoots great so I can't justify spending the kind of money you have to spend for new ones. I'll be the guy picking up quality used bows from the guy that just has to have the latest new bow and needs to sell his one or two year old bow for a down payment! The only way I see myself buying "new" would be if my local bow shop gives me one of those "last year's model" deals. Based on my success with my used Hoyt for a first bow and the history behind Hoyt bows it's probably a brand I'll stick with in the future.

that is exactly what my bow was! it was maybe a year or two years old and i bought it from the guy for 250 and the hoyt dealer at one of our local outdoor stores said i basically stole it fro the guy! i shoot a relfex which is a knock off brand of hoyt! like mission is to mathews! but i really like the hoyt brand so i think ill stick to it! and i know i didnt include alot of brands but this poll could have so many possibilities with all the different types or brands out ther! lol

X3!  Very dissappointed here.  You absolutely need to put mathews up there.  I shoot 3D at a dealer/range and have shot just about every bow out there in the past five years.  I own a switchback XT and right now woulnd't trade it in for anything out there.  However, I did recently shoot the PSE X-force super short.  It's so dang light it makes me wanta switch, but I think its a little loud with the setup at the shop.  I'm going to try to get them to put some accessories on simialar to my current setup.   What maneauvarability this thing has though.
