You beat me to it...I was just about to post this very same thing.  The title says it all...But did our fearless leader Keith Warnke really need to post this?  I think it's common knowledge.

Warnkee finally knuckles under must have had too much evidence and pressure to deny it any longer. They even included wolf predation that too me is a huge step. I’ve posted several times about wolves I just want say I’m not a wolf hater nor do I want to eradicate them from WI.

But I was over at my mothers house when the Meals On Wheels Lady stopped in with my Mom’s dinner. She lives in the country next too Eau Claire and she said she saw a wolf on her route with in 3-5 miles from Eau Claire city limits. One more wolf, of the opposite sex and the city of Eau Claire will have its own wolf pack next spring. LOL

I wonder how long it will take them to admit we are now at our wolf limit.

Being at the wolf limit is one thing, being able to do anything about it is another. Too many wackos with money that will keep stalling the issue with court appeals. Eau Claire and many other northern cities will probably have to deal with it on a case by case attack situation.

I used to live in Eau Claire.  I know the DNR pilot who tracks collered wolves in his airplane. Eau Claire has had wolves INSIDE the city limits (along with Chippewa Falls and Hallie) for at least 4 years now.  I have seen them personally, and the DNR pilot confirms it.

Several years ago the DNR planted a wolf pack in the National Forests near our home.  The combined acreage of this land totals over 200,000 acres.
The DNR frequently post signs offering huge rewards for information leading to the arrest of the person or persons who have shot a wolf in these forest.
During the last few years we have seen our deer herd shrink to almost nothing now. The same with turkeys
I cannot say for certain the lack of game is directly related to the wolf population, but something has had a drastic effect on the numbers of both deer and turkey.
I do know we are also hearing more about bears in the area.
All I can say for certain is there are no where near the numbers of deer or turkeys we had just a few years ago.
Being retired I am now able to spend a considerable time in the woods, and I can tell you there is just nothing out there anymore, not even signs of them.

Love youre name by the way, lol. That’s where the meals on wheels lady seen the wolf it was just east of Hallie in the township of Seymor and it was right on Hwy Q by St. Brigdets Church.

Also there was a cougar reported in Hallie by Hyw. J, three years ago. The report was told too me by a guy who knew the farmer that seen it. But I choose too believe the story.

That Eau Claire River/Big Falls area is all wooded county land that runs from Clark Co to Eau Claire Co Forest to the east end of Lake Altoona, I think that’s a corridor that allows them to come to town and get some shopping done.
